Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree. A minimum of four years of professional experience in business management, financial management and/or marina enterprise management are required.
Recruitment Notes:
The Chief of Coastal Parks and Marinas, PROS Division 3 is responsible for overseeing the management and development of Miami-Dade County Coastal Parks & Marinas. This role involves the coordination and maintenance of (9) park facilities, (6) marinas, (3) beaches, (2) atoll pools, (2) campgrounds and (1) tennis center, ensuring the effective management of the Division. The position may involve outdoor work and physical activities, and will require extensive collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including local communities, commissioners, non-profit organizations and tourism industry partners. Responsibilities include: develop and implement long-term strategies and plans of the enhancement and utilization of Miami-Dade County Coastal Parks & Marinas; analyze and interpret maintenance, operational, financial statistics, and other data to effectively plan for needs and identify trends, including assessing the potential for sustainable development and identifying opportunities for the optimization of revenue generation for every facet of operations to ensure proper controls are in place and all revenue is captured; oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards and the implementation of effective risk management practices; adherence and enforcement of procedures, established rules and regulations, protocol and safety policies, develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve organizational goals; monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving measures, whee appropriate; collaborate on the design and evaluation of construction plans for park and marina development projects, and oversee procurement and collaborate on contract administration to maintain compliance and accountability.
