Miami Marine Council
The Marine Council just celebrated our 55th-Anniversary year filled with engaging meetings, programs and networking opportunities.
In addition to our own monthly meetings and networking activities planned, we are continuing to partner with other local marine trade associations to help bring in new ideas, opportunities for business and developing new friendships for our members!
Marine Council centers around an engaged board of directors that is actively working on behalf of the industry to help put the Marine Council soundly on the map! This strong group of volunteers represents nearly every major sector of our industry and is open to your ideas and suggestions as to how to improve the membership experience and ROI.
There are many issues facing our industry today. We need your involvement, your energy, your ideas, and your support to continue to make the Marine Council a truly effective association in the community.
What We Do
Knowledge
KNOWLEDGE. Knowledge is power. The Council’s membership and Board of Directors represent hundreds of years of experience in and knowledge about the local marine industry and the many issues with which it must contend. The Council uses that knowledge to educate its membership and to keep them apprised of important developments in and around Greater Miami’s and South Florida’s marine industry.

Support
SUPPORT. The Marine Council recognizes that it exists to support and further the interests of its members in any way possible. Our membership consists of many marine industry businesses including maritime attorneys, insurance brokers, shipyards, marina manager, service providers, etc to make sure that we always have a full perspective on any issue. We support many different arenas: governmental, legal, regulatory, environmental, member services, technical expertise and in the many aspects of running a business in our ever-more-complicated industry. The Council also provides opportunities for networking and business referrals so that members can help advance their own businesses.

Synergy
SYNERGY. The Marine Council strongly believes in strategic alliances and industry partnerships. We currently have representatives on advisory boards for several City and county issues (ie. Biscayne Bay Watershed Management, Waterfront Recreational Access Plan, Biscayne Bay Economic Impact study and several more). We also have strong and ongoing partnerships with other organizations with complementary missions to strengthen and promote the South Florida marine community.
